An indefinite curfew has been imposed in Wana, the capital of South Waziristan, and surrounding areas to find the culprits of the attack on security forces.



According to details, in the wake of the terrorist attack on the security forces on Sunday night, Wana Bazaar will remain closed till the situation returns to normal and every passerby will be closely monitored. People have closed their offices in Wana. A notice issued by the office of the Assistant Commissioner said that the general public is requested to stay away from Wana Bazaar to ensure the safety of the people and their property. The administration requested the residents to stay in the district. Cooperate with the administration and security forces.

It is to be noted that 2 FC personnel were martyred while 5 others were injured in an improvised explosive device (IED) blast on Wana Bypass Road on Sunday night. However, no terrorist group has claimed responsibility for the attack. Residents said all entrances and exits to the area were cordoned off with barbed wire after the curfew was imposed. In addition, security forces and police launched a massive search operation in the bazaar. On the other hand, residents of Azam Warsak near Wana protested against house searches and curfew.
